Even though we really never have problems, there are some basic rules you should follow when posting items for sale in the Parts for Sale or Trade forum.
Be clear in your thread title if you are selling a part or looking for a part. (ie. WTB= "Wanting to Buy" )
Be descriptive. Take lots of pictures (if possible). Most importantly, post a price! Nothing more frustrating then having a part up for sale that you want to buy and the poster left no price.
Advise how to get in touch with you. If you don't visit the forum very often, leave an email address.
When you have finally sold your part, please post that you have done so! The preferable way would be to edit your original post to reflect the status of the item for sale. (This goes for price changes as well)
After you have completed a transaction with another member, leave feedback for them!
Do not hijack Parts for Sale or Trade threads to indicate your unhappiness with a price. If you aren't going to buy it, don't bother!
If you start posting about how "I could get that cheaper on Ebay" or "That's too much!" you will get a warning or an infraction if its habitual.
The Buy/Sell section is for people to sell their personal used stuff....not for a discussion on what should be charged. If someone is charging too much, quite simply they most likely won't sell it. If you absolutely feel the need to share what you think a fair price is, PM the seller. Nothing is worse then someone crapping on a thread when you are trying to sell something.
Its one thing to say "WOW! Awesome price! Good luck!". I see that as a free bump, which is ok with the staff (as long as its also ok with the thread starter). Basically, respect their thread.
And last but not least, this forum is for used personal parts, NOT FOR NEW PARTS FROM VENDORS! If you want to become an approved vendor or a site sponsor, please contact the admin for details. Thanks all MOGers! http://www.lxforums.com/board/images/smilies/smiley_thumbs_up.gif
