Why Japanese people get more options on their cars than US car? Check them out for Mazda 3, they got shifter paddles on steering wheel and some hard drive recording mp-3 for music And they get AWD too.

well they created the car along with all the afore mentioned technology about 10 years ago, so we are on the same time frame. ten years after we get the technology over here we will have it on the 3.

No, it's actually alot more than that. Most automakers will keep some of the "premier" cars for their local markets. Look at the Skyline R32-34, Eunos Cosmo 20B, etc. Same went the other way - Japs never got a look at a Yenko Camaro, Dodge Charger R/T Hemi, AMC AMX Hurst Edition, or "Eleanor".

They want it to be an "exotic" car to anyone out of the country.

Oh and my car has all the options that the Jap version has.:p
